So, what exactly does this do and is it worth it?

sorry for the late response, but a servo is what engauges or disengauges the band that holds the drum in the transmission. by holding a drum, it engauges a new gear.

with a performance servo it engauges the band quicker and harder, so with the servo being for 2nd gear, which is what i think one of the 4L60Es two servos is for, you will chirp the hell out of 2nd.

i'd recommend this as well as a transgo kit.

I chirp second enough as it is.......maybe i will stay away from this

well ive never personally experienced one, but if i had an automatic, i'd have a transgo stage 2, corvette servo, then eventually a high stall converter.
