Eibach pro's or stock WS6 springs?

well i have Eibach pro springs sitting in my garage i bought for my Z. im not sure how much lower(if any lower) they will make my WS6. it already sits fairly low. now i have the long tube headers also. my question is do you guys think there will be much of a difference with the Eibachs or should i just sell them and put the money towards tires? heres pics of it now, but no longtubes to look at. think it sits right or could go lower?

It should work out good with them

Chi-TwnZ28 02-08-2006 02:49 AM

if u decide to sell them i might take them off ur hands if they fit on a 02 Z28

but ur will be lower if u put them on and it will gorgeous

yeah i say get it lower, you've got them now, why not use them??? wheels can always be bought a little later.

yea, the thing is im not sure how much lower its gonna be though or how much more "performance" the springs will add. the specs are very similar between the Eibachs and the stock WS6 springs.

yea im not sure either but i maybe interested in them too

Id say just lower the back. It looks fine.

Sinister95Z 02-08-2006 04:52 PM

If you are going to lower it, do it right and lower the entire car. I say go for it and lower it. Just drive more carefully with the long tubes.

well driving carefully is not a problem. i can take care of the car depending on the circumstances, but im wondering if there will much of a difference.

As for stance the pro's will lower it but not by much, I think the biggest difference will be in the way the car handles because the pro's have a stiffer spring rate.

There was a clear difference between my old Z with the pros and my buddies 97 WS6. It isn't as much a difference as stock obviously, but it was noticable.

Like Chad said, your biggest gain will be in the handling.

i got the eibach sportlines for my 94 Z28, and they were supposed to lower it 2 inches and they did. the front looks really good. but the back could go a lil lower but it looks fine. it doesnt ride too bad until you hit a really big dip or somethin and then it will jar your brains out. they helped out a lot on handling there is almost no roll at all. but if i look under the car there is only about 6-8 inches of clearence room between the converter and the ground. you have to hit speed bumps sideways...lol...or i will scrub. i think pro's r supposed to lower it .75-1 inch. o well i say lower it, it will look even better than it does now!!!

how the **** is that? i have 6" of clearance on my stock TA.

69z-28 02-15-2006 08:31 AM

haha. yea my WS6 has about 4" right now under the car. and the header collectors are about 3" off the ground or so. turndown is around the same height as the headers. scraped the turndown once going fairly fast over a speed bump with 4 people in the car. thanks for the oppinon tho Cody.

cody161 02-15-2006 11:22 PM

i never have measured it accurately. lol i guess you can tell. but i will go measure it here soon and post on here the actual clearance. haha:D
