Engine question cam vs vette
 

Hi!
I've heard that some camaros included corvette engine, is it any special model or year? How can u know?:nana:

Some of the later FBodies had the LS6 block and the only way you can tell is by looking at serial number on the side of the block.

But they are both LS1's so they are the same engine. I had a picture on my desktop which crashed but it was a back to back dyno of a WS6 and C5 and the WS6 put down 20 more rwhp than the C5 did so don't let the Corvette guys tell you how their cars make so much more power than yours.

Basicly just because it was a Pontiac chad.. But yea just because it costs a whole lot more for one doesnt mean they are a lot faster, I whopped up on a 2000ish vette once.

well i think the rumor you heard was the typical ignorance to f-bodies. they ALL come with the corvette engine. LT1, LS1, hell even TPI were all corvette engines.

have to say im guilty of telling people that, mainly girls. "yup, it has a corvette engine" :lolsign: for some reason when you say corvette there eyes glow. damn i need a vette :banghead: yet technically speaking its true...

True that...I've done the same thing. You're right something about the word Corvette really changes everything lol. I've seen quite a few vettes taken by modded Camaros tho...

yea, when I tell people its a corvette engine, they always think or ask, how much did it cost to put that in there...ahahaha

I wont argue there, but how the hell did some camaros end up with ls6's??? I herd of a stock WS6 T/A pull out 400hp to the wheels on a dyno, and I still wonder to this day how! Dont know if you herd of it, its a silver T/A and there is a site for it and ect.

Not sure if this is accurate, but I heard that in some years there was a production shortage for regular LS1 blocks so they used some LS6s to keep production up...again I think I read this somewhere, but I could be mistaken.

thats hella messed up! so there are some lucky *** mofo's out there with ls6's and they dont even know it...
