I like how they say it's a 99 ZL1 when it has an LT1 dash.

its the prototype thats why. Look at the rear those are 93-96 rear lights it just has the ls1 front end thats all. The real ones are the actually 98+ body styles.

SOMBirdV6 03-24-2005 11:21 PM

Here is a real ZL1 that you could buy.

the one pictured was not legal for sale it was a test mule (that was like the 3rd different drivetrain) there's been a few different shows that that and the mustang were on (the mustang broke each time too)

SOMBirdV6 03-24-2005 11:34 PM

The ones I posted that car was at the last f-body meet here in DFW and its suppose to be there again here in april ill probably drool all over it.

archemedes 03-24-2005 11:35 PM

Yea, I think they made production "Berger" camaros too, that looked a lot like that, if i'm thinking correctly. Correct me if i'm wrong. Those things had it all.....handled well, had ungodly amounts of power, and looks to back it all up.Too bad ford never built something to compete, and stopped at the prototype.I just love the competition. Love to own that piece of machinery, but what other colors did they come in?? Wasn't there a light blue w/white, orange w/white, and a few other colors???

camaro94 03-24-2005 11:43 PM

that car has some nice wheels. They are shiny.

yea there called Berger camaros probably where the berger panel got its name since they all came with it. Didnt the 60s version of the zl1 have a berger panel?

archemedes 03-24-2005 11:47 PM

yes and no all big block camaros got a black panel, but it was just called a tail panel blackout
