exhaust

Ive been thinking about it for like a month now. my dad said my car is too loud and i have to put exhaust on it since i have to go for emmisions later this year anyways. Heres what I have so far. Edelbrock headers and y pipe going into a magnaflow 3" high flow cat. What should I do for a catback. I really dont have much money and i am trying to save up for paint. I was thinking of getting a Dynomax bullet since they are pretty affordable and would sound a lot better then a glasspack. I do want to have dual outlets just for the look though. how can i do this? any suggestions on what to do will be helpful

cheapest catback that works.

the thing is a catback wont directly fit in my car. my high flow cat is like 6 inches shorter than stock and it sits at a slightly different angle so idk what i would have to do to get it to work. i tried putting my flowmaster cat back on again but it woudln't work.

A bullet style muffler isn't going to do much for helping quiet the car down.

I'd just have an exhaust shop put your flowmaster system back on. They'd just need to add some pipe to it. That would be your cheapest route.

it will quiet it down plenty. i put about 3 feet of straigh pipe on it the other day to see what i could do and it made it a lot quieter...but then again the pipe was 2 1/2", not 3. im not worried about my car being too loud. i know once its coming out of the rear of the car it will be a lot quieter. the flowmaster...well i still have the rear piece. the intermediate pipe got kinda messed up when i cut it in 5 different places. it wasn't 3" like it was supposed to be anyways. go figure. you think i should just have a shop make a 3" intermediate pipe for me and i can reuse my flowmaster muffler?

got a quote this morning. itll be 150 to have them put a 3" pipe on from the converter back to the muffler and for them to put the muffler back on. not bad?????

Seems a little high, but prices vary everywhere. Alot cheaper then a whole new exhaust.

paarman97maro 06-18-2007 03:48 PM

yeah seems high, but look around.
