exhaust is making a ringing noise...
 

i put the flowmaster 40s on my 3.8L with the stainless z28 style tips and when its cold, but now i noticed it does it alot, it makes a ringing noise when i hit a certain pitch on the exhaust. it sounds like its coming from the tips. anu suggestions?

umm i got flowys on mine too it might just be the flowmasters that would be my only guess

well, at the time i got them, which was about 3 years ago, i thought they were good. lol. could that be makin the ringing noise?

is it high pitched... or actually a ringing noise like metal dangling around?

its like a high pitch noise. im tryin to think of something to compare it to. it kinda sounds like when you hit one of those little metal triangles for music. i know thats a cheesy example, but thats all i could think of. lol

well i guess mine don't sound like that maybe it is in your tips

it could be the tips, maybe where they are a stainless steel. i wonnder if there is anything i can do

any leaks flowing air could be making it whistle?

it could be that too. im gonna get a new muffler and see if it still does it...

I think its the Z28 tips on your V6 car crying blasphemy...but thats just my opinion..
