Exhaust question ?

Does anyone know if this SLP exhaust will work on the 96-97 F-body.

I'm thinking about doing this system with some custom tips (maybe, corsa premium pro twin tips or the Mecham big oval 7.5 " tips. My only concern with the system will be how it sounds. I currently run the FLP longtubes with the off-road pipes (no-cats) and the B&B Tri-Flo exhaust and many people comment on how good the combination sounds ! I'm wondering if this system with the SLP polished bullet muffler will still have a unique (good) deep sound like my current setup. One of the reasons I'm looking at this type of system is the small pipe ( looks like the pipe is about 12 " long) right after the bullet muffler can be cut for the Electronic exhaust cut-out. I'm thinking about doing the LS1-Speed inc. aluminum gas tank and they have said that you need to run an exhaust that does not use a transverse muffler so it won't contact the aluminum tank. The last thing I will probably do the exhaust is completely polish all the stainless :).
Tell me what you guys think ???? I'm really struggling with this decision. I don't want to screw up the sound of my exhaust on my car. I think with the SLP bullet it might make it okay ?

Thanks for any input

the lm is nice its what i have. yeah, all you have to do is get the adaptor kit for it. Cheaper if you get it from FTPP. http://www.ftpp.net/LT1/Exhaust/LT1%...%20Systems.htm

Thanks for the FTPP link. Great pricing on the LMII :)

What do you guys/gals think I should do about the exhaust tips for the LMII. I have narrowed it down to the MECHAM 7.5 " power oval or the CORSA premium pro 3.5 " dual tip.

I like the corsa personally.

camaro94 07-26-2005 12:45 AM

out of those choices, the corsa.

SOMBirdV6 07-26-2005 12:57 AM

go with the corsa.

RFF 07-26-2005 02:44 AM

corsa

96SilverRam 07-26-2005 10:01 AM

A resounding yes for CORSA ! I'm kinda surprised that more people don't like the MECHAM 7.5" power oval on a T/A, although; I have to admit the CORSA has always been my first pic (3.5" premium pro twin tip) :)
