fly cutting
Does anyone know if I have to fly cut the pistons on these heads
http://www.livernoismotorsports.com/...t.phtml?p=1351 with the Tsp magic stick cam? |
idk but that setup would be FAST
|
As long as those heads arent milled I.E> stock deck height, It has the proper double valve springs and your timing chain isnt so sloppy it allows fora couple degrees of advance/retard you will be fine.
Magic Stick V.3 237/242 .603/.609" Camshaft With Your Choice of Lobe Seperation. I have this same exact cam in my car with a 112 LSA, had no problems with clearance on stock pistons. It very tight but its fine. triple check your cam timing marks, no room for error here. I would stay around 112-114 LSA, 110-108 might cause P2V problems as well |
your car is gonna fly

I also e-mailed Livernois motorsports and they wanted to know the spec's of the cam .
Thanks for the info |

That combo will make around 430 ish at the wheels on motor. Obviously around 525-550 on the juice would be my guess. If its a full weight 6 speed car, has sticky tires... maybe low 12's high 11's on motor, low 11's on the juice is about what you can expect.
It would be faster at all points obviously, but that takes a dedicated suspension, gearing, slicks etc... And not to forget a driver with a screw loose that side steps the clutch at 6,000 + rpms heheh |
haha wow tom u should be the ls1 mod
