1998 camaro V6....stock height not lowered yet (next project) |
Isn't that size stock on the fronts of the SS's?
i would say go 245/40/17
ya i guess thats a stock size for ss ...im putting it on my V6 ..will it rub?? anybody here have 275/40/17 front and back...
It shouldn't rub, there won't be anything different with the body panels.
The stock size on the 17" Stock SS rims (both zr1 rims and 10 spokes) is 275 Goodyears.....245s arent wide enough for the 17" rims your best off getting the same size....why would you get tires not as wide?
my bad
I run 275/45/17's on the front with no problems.
I currently have 275/45/17's on the back and 245/40/17's on the front with 315 DR's on the 11" wide ZR1's I have.
I have run 275/45/17's up front in the past and there's no problems with rubbing at all. |

You could do either 275, or 245... Ive heard of rubbing issues with 275s, but I think youll be fine.

i would stay with the same size so you can always rotate your tires if your on a budget
or if you going for a certain look of dip in the front.....or same height all around |
U should be fine with 275's, thats what I have on my car and I don’t have any problems.
yes you can put 275's in front....they do fit i looked into it for my camaro and they do not change your speedo reading..its is .06% change. Also if you do 275's all around you can rotate them...cant do that with 245's
