gas issue

i tried starting my car today and it was out of gas..even though the gauge said it was over 1/4th WTF> anyone know how it could be this far off..i mean my math is even better than that come on.

Put some gas in it and see if it fires, could be the fuel pump. Or your fuel pressure sending unit is fugged up. By all means dont take it to the dealership again.

i put around 5 gallons in it and now its over half than i drove to go bowling so i mean it does run just w.e measures it is retarted

Bernotas05 05-23-2007 08:04 PM

That would be your fuel sending unit that tells how much gas is in the tank.

FrYd-RyS 05-23-2007 08:07 PM

well it needs to stop being gay..where is it located

Bernotas05 05-23-2007 08:20 PM

Its in the tank Try putting a can of fuel additive to remove corrosion and deposits ohh anything that could gunk **** up, change your fuel filter while your at it.

Keep an eye on the trip odometer too that way you know how many miles you get from a tank normally and if this happens again you can go by how far you've driven on the tank as a gauge. Just remember to reset it everytime you fill up.
