getting engine rebuilt

well because of work idunt have too much time on my hands but i would like to know if neone has ne idea on how much it would be to rebuild the engine of a z24

im saying new rings or whatever it needs...
everyone says...engine got rebuilt 20ks ago.... well how can i get that done and what price am i looking at

its a 95 z24 btw with about 200ks

oh and also any ideas of money involved in findint a less used engine and dropping that in?

Why bother on a z24? You could probably get 2 cav's more for the ammount of money you'll spend rebuilding the engine

Waste of money to me...no point in a re-build just get a new engine...probably for parts and labour your looking at somewhere around 1800-2200? Ball park figures

call any wreckers in the yellow pages...your looking at about 600 - 1000

wouldnt it deoend what it needs?... i mean if it needs ring's (doubt it at 200k) them why dont you just get replace ments?

Young gun 05-18-2005 11:36 PM

well heres the thing in the condition the car is in now
it runs allright
but im scared to push it and u know floor it because im not quite certain it could handle it
so b4 i start modding the engine i want to either get it fully rebuit or drop another one in
