hei doesn't have points. are you sure the engine is getting flooded? do you smell gas? i would get a carb rebuild kit and go ahead and rebuild it

lol well put it this way on the back side of the primarys theres a little vent correct? gass is squarting right out of there and down over the primary flaps like alot of it. or unless that somthingto do with the choke (im farly new to carbs but i get the idea of them and theres gass setting on the flaps of the secondarys. so i can deffinatly smell gas . ok ok is it possable for there to be a rats nest in the intake manifold because ther was one inthe air cleaner?

blue89vert 06-13-2007 10:13 PM

haha its possible. i dont know much about carbs either

87RS 06-13-2007 10:27 PM

that would eplane why its looks like its gettin flodded but not getting nay thing the damn nest woul catch it all. ill check that out to. maybe i just think its begin flooded lol im not used to carbs this big im used to lawn moweres and sled carbs.

If you plugs are dry it's not getting flooded. Most likely the carb needs a good cleaning and rebuild if it's been sitting a long time. If you unbolt the carb and lift it up a little when you pull the throttle you'll see if gas is being sprayed. At the minimum I'd pull the carb and spray the hell out of it with a big ol can of carb cleaner.

However if it wouldn't even fire if you primed it, I'd guess you have 2 issues going on.

yeah i think im not getting fire to the plugs lol tommrrow ill have my frind hold em wial i turn it over:eleph: itll make my whole day. i think im ganna spray it and if that dosnt help then ill rebuild it
