hey air bag suspension help
hey guys im new to this site and i hav acouple questions about air bags
first one is is it easy to put air bags on a 2000 s10 |
Yes
|
is there any cuts i need to do to the s10
|
How low do you want to go? In inches from the frame to ground?
|
i want the frame from on the ground
|
What wheels will you be running?
|
posibly 18's on it
|
You should be able to get about an inch or two off the ground without having to do anything major, but the airbag system itself. if your looking for it to be frame on ground then you will have to do some major customization, like cutting out the rear fender wells and re- welding them higher up with new metal. You will also have to gut the front fender wells. Which isn't good for daily driving. I have a Sonoma on bags and I paid $1300 for the system plus $600 to install it. I did no cutting or welding and the truck sits less then 1" off the ground on a stock wheel setup. Is the truck a daily driver? How much are you lookig to spend?

I got a 2000 Chev s10...
Slammed on the front.. Do you want to do this by yourself, or someone to do it for you? Also what is your price range ? |
ill go up to 1500 on the system and yes i will be using it as a daily truck n i want to put in on the ground lol and info would help thanx alot guys
k i live in toronto and the winters here r pretty bad well the cold or the snow do any damage to the system or will the frame get stuck to the floor lol |

where around do you live, because i know some shops in toronto that are really
knowlegable with airride, and have reasonable pricing... if you want to be able to drive it everyday, and have it touch the ground you will have to put the extreme front bumper, and side skirts. this will make it appear as the frame is toucing the ground, when really it is the body. it looks like it touches the ground, here is a pic of mine ! |
thats really good idea but how is the the snow or the cold weather going to affect the system i was thinking for the winter to disconnect it and put higher spring suspension
