Would it be worth it to sell my 1997 and get like...a 93 z28?

Cause i figure i can sell my car for a little over 4 grand, and im sure i can find a 93 Z for around that much...considering ive found several 95 Z's for 5 grand.

ID save up a lil more get a later lt1 the 93z's didnt have a maf sensor... I dunno its really up to u.... lt1s are awesome:) you'll be able to find 94 -95 lt1s for 4 or 5ish

maf- mass air flow sensor.

I wouldn't recommend getting a 93 Z28, they kind of have their own set sof parts just for them cause their so different from the rest of the 4th gens. IMO just save up and keep on moding the 97.

i was thinking that...but its just a v6! why mod it for more money and less powerful than a Z?

I say sell it and buy a '94-up Z

yup. i didnt mean just a 93, i just meant an old 4th gen. 94 works too...either way im still gunna need some money :( how much you guys think is max i could get for mine?

I would recommend a 94 or 95 Z to buy if you are lookin to do a lot of performance stuff. They have a little less emissions BS to get around and are a little cheaper as well.

I picked up mine for 5500 but I was very particular in what I wanted. I saw several Z's go on ebay for around 3 grand or so- they would make a good platform to start with.

i dont know i've been considering this for a long time. if your parents dont care how much insurance is. GET A Z!!!!! thats the only thing stopping me right now. my dad will only pay my insurance if i have a v6. so i'm screwed till i can afford that. but you, i say go for it. and a 97 can get about 6 or 7 thousand...my friend payed 12000 for his 97 that he crashed...yes, he overpaid, but it shows you can get a lot more than 4 grand.

i say get the 93, there better for racing cuz you dont have to deal w/ that ****. MAF dosent make that big of a difference. ive beat a few 94's and im stock.
