How much power can the stock rear end on a 95 Z28 A4 handle?

In theory how much power can the rear end take before needing to upgrade to a 12 bolt? I'm talking mainly street driving and no use of slicks.

Power doesnt kill things traction does. Hope that answers enough questions.

As so as long the tires don't hook up I can keep my rear end. I guess I will have to avoid buying any sticky tires for a while.

I dont remember what it was but I think when people started hitting 1.6/1.7 60foots those things started breaking.

450 - 550 ask rk2 he'll tell you

more than you'll need to be scared your car will flip itself over, depends on a few things like maintenance and if you like to shock the rear, you do a bunch of drag racing it has less chance of living than just street driving.

Like was said before- its the traction that puts the strain on it.

All my tires would do it spin so therefore its not really puttin that much hurt on the car- but IF they did hook up there was a lot of torque there that would have more than likely broke parts..
