Any one using lt1 edit software? If so is it difficult to use or should i go with an idiot proof hypertech? :banghead:

watever u do dont get the hypertech it is a pos and a waste of money save up the 450 and get the lt1 edit as soon as i save up enough im gonna buy mine very easy to use plus an online site frorum kinda like this in which u choose a certain category such as intake, exhaust, heads ect. and specify what u have done and it tells u what to modify on the pcm and what gains u will get

The Hypertech is ok if you you get it for around $150. I might be interested in selling mine soon as well.;)

Hyper techs good for shift points on autos n few other things... but

archemedes Apr 13, 2005 02:58 AM

it's for if you don't plan on a lot of upgrades (if your not going to open teh engine up it works fine)

$450 I thought lt1 edit was like $200 (vin locked copy) according to their site, but it requires a lap top which I don't have. I think I'll go with the lt-1 edit since it sounds easy to use and will come in handy if I make any major modifications. Thanks for all your help!

im pretty sure it said 450 for one locked pcm if u see somewhere else please post link

I used LT1 edit on my last car and am going to use it on this car as well- The nice part about it is that once you have an unlocked PCM you can change ANYTHING that you want.

I would be careful though- you can mess up engine in a heartbeat if you change the wrong tables. I just left it up to the pros at the dyno shop when I had my car tuned-
