i need help fixing this!!

i was messing with my mass air flow sensor today and i accidently pulled one of the wires out of it, i tired putting it back throuhg but it just wont go all he way through and connect again, the car starts fine, but the "Service Engine Soon" light is on all the time, and it was running a little sloppy and stalled on my 2 times when i just pushed in the clutch and put it in gear.. how do i fix this? i know i simply have to get the wires to connect back together again, but i cant figure out how. Thanks for all the help.

You most likely have to buy a new MAF
