Install
 

As most of you know late last year I bought a wet nitrous kit with all the goodies. Well I started the install and then my DD broke so I had to drive the Camaro all winter. With the weather warming up I decided to get back in the install and finish it up. Right now I'm pretty close to being done. All I have to do is wire up the bottle opener and put the WOT switch in and I'll be done :eleph:
I set it up so the nitrous purges out of both sides of the cowl by the windshield. My bottle is still empty so hopefully I'll have time tomorrow to stop by the local speed shop and fill it up. If it all goes well it'll be all set up and working when I go to Speed's open house. What's cool is that I have a couple days off between jobs so I can get some good video's made with the nitrous and showing off the sound the cam makes. I really want to put something good together finally.

The bottle was already installed so it doesn't look any different so I'm not really sure what you want pictures of.

I don't really care if I have more horsepower than someone else or not. I just want a car that's fun to drive and that's what I have now.

i know im just jealous. me and my friends always have what all the girls call "bigger dick contests". my friend buys a cam, i buy nitrous, he buys subs bigger than mine, i buy more bigger than his. its all fun and games, but like you said, fun to drive is all that matters. i cant wait to see your beast now chad. we will need to get some purging videos and whatnot together.hehe

I'll stick with my boost. If its not enough, then I might spray someday down the road to try and get under 10.5's...

But I bet that car will scare you even more once you start sprayin, esp if you run anything more than the 100 shot.

I'd much rather have boost myself but it costs so much I can't justify spending that kind of money right now.

I'm sure it'll scare me :lolsign: I'm thinking of running a 100 shot and leaving it there, that way I'm not pushing the engine any more than I need to but I'll still make plenty of power.

Do you have to adjust the timing for the 100 shot?

I dont see that happening. Jets are easy to swap for another 25-50 hp ;) :cool:

mmm if it blows up build it bigger and badder is the only way to go... if mine blew up i think id go with an LS motor though

If I blew it up I'd go with either a 383 stroker if the block was still good or a 402 if it wasn't.

I just did my very first nitrous purge :devil:

I have one small leak on the T fitting going to the purge and nitrous seloniods. I'll go pickup some paste to put on it to fix it. The leak is very small and even in the garage with the door closed, engine off, and hood opened you can barely hear it but it's there non the less.

Before anyone says it, I already said I was going to spend Sunday and Monday making video's so there's no point in bringing that up.

That's funny, especially considering I'm the admin so I should just ban you for posting that. LOL

Anyone have any tips on how to get a good video of the purge? I just went outside and shot a really quick one but the purge doesn't even show up on the video. The only thing I can think of is to get a dark background.

I would at nite in a parking lot under the lights would be your best bet...it would iluminate your car enough to see but not so much that you can't see the cloud...
