intake silencer

if u get a elbow without the silencer or get the cap for it will it make a diffrence in sound? i mean like how much does the silencer really quiet it down? i am going to be getting my cai very soon and i am going with the slp and my elbow is in great shape so its kinda dumb to throw away the 80-90 bucks when i can get the silencer plug for like 30. anyways how does ur cai sound on your cars? like will u beable to hear a diffrence esp like when u stomp it?

it's a little louder under wot conditions normal driving you wouldn't notice it (at least in every car I've done that mod on)

imported_2fast4u 03-18-2005 08:50 PM

what is a 1le camaro? like what diffrent and yeah i think they have some others i found a site that had em for 20 bucks id rather pay that than 85 plush shipping

Thats the RPO on it, it was a 310$$ option racing package which included Koni adj. shocksstiffer springs, stiffer shocks, big sway bar, stiffer suspension bushings and a heavy duty radiator.. and that elbow with out the silencer. when it was new... it was also a little lighter.

I didn't notice a difference at all in the sound..
