auto, or manul?

BlackPearl9 07-11-2005 12:47 AM

manual man

bounce it against the rev limiter and let it go, probably wont spin the tires it missing 2 cylinders n all :lolsign:

ouch...lol. the way i did it in my car was like around 2 grand maybe a little more, then dump the clutch. maybe you should try more than that tho cause your car might bog when dumping the clutch at that RPM without a whole lot of power. just practice it and see what works best. thats what i finally did.

archemedes 07-11-2005 10:24 AM

every track and car will be different play with the rpm's and slip the clutch until you get the best times

archemedes 07-11-2005 10:27 AM

and dumping the clutch will slow you down, and break parts it's too big a shock to the drive line.Basically you rev the engine get the clutch to the edge of where it holds (that's really fun to hold it there)on last yellow ease the clutch up and gas down

BlackPearl9 07-15-2005 01:12 AM

wouldnt gassing down while easing up on the clutch burn the clutch out? or is it unavoidable?

JesasaurusRex 07-15-2005 01:20 AM

clutchs burn up thats what they do, how much they clamp depends on teh quality of clutch u get

archemedes 07-15-2005 12:07 PM

exactly,do you want to wear the clutrch faster or scatter, clutch, trans and rear all over teh place

what about in an auto... which is the proper way to launch then?

1BADVETTE 07-15-2005 05:50 PM

hold down the brake, rev up to right before where your tires would start spinning, then when the lights drop, off the break and all on the gas ;) or get a stall :)
