light on?????

My radiator light is on but the fluid is full, and the light goes on and off but the car never really get to hot. when i first start my car and its still cold it runs like a champ, but when it heats up it runs shitty and at about 2 rpms it seems to stutter but at wot it doesnt at all ??? hmmm :banghead:

my low coolant light always goes on, and just today i was driving and my check gauges light came on, coolant light went off for a change and my temp gauge was at 260, i turned the car off right away, added coolant and waited, now its fine and now my coolant light doesnt go on, idk waht the deal is but just make sure you have coolant in there and make sure your fans work and youll be fine, nevermind the light check it manually every few weeks at least, i learned the hard way, not too hard tho, didnt need to buy parts yet.

you guys 50/50 ure coolent??? If the cars running fine and not over heating it could just be the sensor

69z-28 07-18-2005 03:11 PM

its prolly the sensor. mine is messed up, it just went on a while ago again after i topped it off. its a common sensor to go bad, just make sure you have it topped off. i think mine was overheating cause i didnt put any coolant in there and so the sensor didnt detect any heat from the coolant cause there was none for it to detect heat from and the sensor couldnt tell the fans to kick on.

My comes on all the time during the summer months, for some reason it comes on all the time since I drove around one summer without my cooling fans.

sensor will cause that usually, seems to be a problem when someone ruins the dexcool with the green stuff

97z2801ss 07-18-2005 08:42 PM

96 and yeah it weird how soem car even have pink coolant. The parts house I work at only carries 3 kinds of coolant, green, orange, and the unversional kind.

97z2801ss 07-19-2005 01:36 AM

I dunno if i trust universal crap..

RFF 07-19-2005 01:41 AM

Same here, I usually just sell that stuff to people so I don't have to hear them ***** about how much they don't know what kind of coolant their car takes.
