looking for some advice

I am looking for some advice from the guys that have been where i am, i have an 1986 Z28 with a 355 not too sure of all the internal parts or horse power, however i can tell you it has a weiand Team G intake, holly 650 Double pumper, Forged 4340 steel I-beam rods forged 4340 scat steel crank, 0.030 over 3.480 in stroke, all i can remember about the cam is it is a Comp Cam, specs to follow if i can find the card, what i am looking for is the next step i should take to get all i can from this 355, I'm thinking NOS also would an ignition box help at all with this application? i was thinking the MSD 6AL? any other suggestions would be GREATLEY APPRECIATED.

Looks like u got the heart right .I assume you have gone to K & N air cleaner & rejetted carb also an other thing go to a set of headers and mandrel bent dual exhaust system maybe 2 1/2 & my personal favorite - dyno max mufflers .Very quiet at idle but sound really good when u put the foot into it . i run a 78 Z 28 with buick 455 and when i switched 2 better exhaust i could feel the difference . What is holding me back is exhaust ,ican take in all the air i want but if u can't get rid of it ( headers & low back pressure pipes 7 mufflers) ure going to lose horse power gains from nitris. any way have fun later bake

I forgot to mention yes i have Headers and did change the Pan-hard Bar so i could run true Dual Exhaust, i also did change the Jetting in the Carb, i had it to the track this weekend and was very Disappointed with the results so i am starting from the beginning, i wanted a High 11's car and have a mid 12's so if anyone has some good advice they want to offer i would like to start with a new engine one that will go into the 86 maybe a big block or big cube small block witch is better? any and all advice is welcome it's a fresh start and this time i want 10's so what do you guys think? Thanks for the help. Chris

What tire, gear, trans do you have?
Rear suspension work?
You can shave off quite a bit of time with suspension and chassis work alone.

What would you recommend for suspension work?
