LT1 327 block with LS1 top
LT1 327 block with LS1 top
I heard or read somewhere that you can put LS1 heads and air intake on an LT1 327 block with some adapter plates. I was wondering if anybody knew where to get these plates and if this nullifies the Opti-Spark to OVC Coil Packs?
I think ARP makes the adapter plates but can't find it on their website, anybody know of anybody else makes such a thing? Would I need a new engine harness? It would be worth it if it got rid of the stupid Opti-Spark.

do you have a shorter crank in an LT1 or wtf are u doing with a 327? and ive never heard of "plates" to adapt an LS1 head to an LT1 block. i wouldnt wanna try it even if i could buy them. LS1s are setup like big blocks, the number 3 and 5 and then 4 and 6 exhaust valves are not next to each other as they are on a standard small block or LT1.

Well there is a way to put LS1 heads on a LT1. ARP makes a special head bolt kit and adaptor plates. It can be done but is not common because most people don't know about these parts." Fbody.com
No, not a shorter crank, the block code 327.
Basically what I'm guessing from this is LS1 crank(Unless it uses the LT1 which I doubt cause I think the firing order is different), LS1 Heads/Cam/Intake.
Unless somebody knows where to pick up an used LS1 motor for cheap and knows where to get the adapter plates to use the LT1 tranny.

Ok if the guy is an idiot he's an idiot, are there any good reputable places for used LS1 motors with various price ranges? Or perhaps a good place for a block and a cheaper place for heads?
