Is my Fuel Pump is DEAD ????
Caution it is a long story but i try to give as much detailed as possible
OK it all started whit an EGR problem...i got an exhaust leak under the hood will i was driving the car...after looking aroud , i found that the EGR valve was broken in 2 pieces because off the rust... Igot a new EGR valve and a new gasket.. clean everything, instaled and torqued them IAW the mechanic manual.. After that i started the car..it idled very ruffly and when i give it some trothle it just cut and slow down until it die..sounding like it was out off timming (pouff, pouff, Tshiiii...) I was told that it should be a vacumm leak but i re-check everything ..and dint see any leak...i have absolutly no check engine light... I have removed the trothle body and clean it very good of all the carbone deposit...and inside the intake plenum as far as i can... so i have air... i have spark cause it start good but die as soon as i give it gaz... So my guess is the fuel...i checked the fuel rail and it spit fuel...i will have to get a fuel pressure gauge to check the pressure... what is the best way to make sure the pump is working right? sorry if it was a long story but i try to give plenty of info |
best way to check pump is pressure gauge
