My gas gauge doesn't work. How can I get it fix?
Just put 20 bucks in the tank, and it didn't move. Whats wrong, and where can I take it to get fix? Please help!

Well, im going to be giving you some news you arnt going to want to hear.
You either A) Have a bad instrument cluster, or B) Bad fuel pump sending unit. The cluster means you'll have to put a whole new gauge cluster in it (if you want it OE, you'll have to buy one new and have the mileage changed by GM) and if the sending unit is bad, you'll have to put a new fuel pump in it, and it takes around 4 hrs labor and at least $225 for parts. I personally would just keep up with my gas status with my odometer. |
well i put 10 bucks in my tank and it set it just above the quarter mark and as i was driving it started to bounce around just a little bit but once i tapped on the guage it quit could you please tell me what might have caused that maybe a loose wire thanks.

Thanks guys, but I know d**k about cars. So I was wondering where can I take my '94 Camaro to get the gas gauge fixed? Big10 Tires or a Chevy dealer, where can and should I go?

dealer or a decent regular mechanic, don't go to a tire dealer their guys are a step above lube jockey usually
