 We're sorry, we don't currently produce a tire that matches your vehicle's original equipment tire size, load range and speed rating combination. Optional sizes may be available for your vehicle.

Please consult your owner's manual and check with your retailer to verify all tire recommendations before purchasing your tire(s).

I use sz 245/50 firehawk tires and they dont make them for my 16's anymore, this means Id have to buy 17's to use the same tires...U knows cool about the new versions of my tires, they are y-rated for speeds over 180mph!!

http://www.bridgestonetire.com/tires...sproductid=217

now they just use them for vettes...ahh im so pissed 17's and 18's for rims!

you guys any idea's of where i can buy z-rated wise for my 16's?? Im hella pissed since they will need to be replaced with in a year or 2, and dotn say e-bay cause ive looked for my tires and cant find them on there...

Check out www.tirerack.com. Here are a set for 16's that are Z rated.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....nSpeedRating=T

They have 30 different tires that fit 16's just not all Z rated.

Thanks! It's just hard to find a better tire then the ones I have now. Imo these are the best street tires ive ever had lol. But hey those eagle F1's look great!

The F1's will kick *** compared to the ones you have, but good luck finding some apparently there are tons of backorders on the GS-D3's but you may find your size.

The Bridgestone/Firestone tire plant in Asia that produced the Firehawk SZ tires burned down in 2003 or so. They are great tires, and they don't make my OEM 275/40Z17's or alternate 285/40Z17's that I have now anymore, either. I did see some 16's for sale when I was searching for the 275-17's.

Sorry, wrong. The F-Body drivers with F1's always complain that they can't keep up to me because their tires can't handle as well as mine. But the f1's are alot cheaper, so maybe that's your criteria.

paarman97maro 01-26-2007 02:04 AM

Um.. Get a new tire? You can find plenty that will match or do better than the ones you have now... Either that or, if youre really dependent, than get some new rayums.

I hope you also realize that y-rated tires, "rated for over 180" are more for exotic cars than anything. Dont think youll be even hitting 160 in your maro.

02hawk796 01-26-2007 02:11 AM

Although the LT1 Camaros have the aerodynamics to get to 160, the LS1 Camaros do not, unless you have some serious front suspension work. The LT1s (Camaros) need more than stock hp to get there.

Hate to brag, but I did just pick up a set of Firehawks for $20, after months of discussion. So there are some still around, but you gotta look diligently.

I would suggest looking around other huge forum's for sale sections

Which F1's are they running? Cause from what I hear, the GS-D3's are basically the best tires you can get for wet and dry traction.

150$ a pop isn't cheap for a tire...

yes it is lol... Compared to all the other good tires out there, you should be paying 300 for each tire for great ones. I know this because I am in the process of looking right now... And 150 is not that bad of a deal for decent tires.

MyFirstCamaro 01-28-2007 03:05 PM

i have 4 general xp2000 v4 tires, (front)225/50 (rear)255/50
v-rated for 16in wheels....100$ for all of them i dont need them anymore since i upgraded to 17's
Probably dont want used tires but i thought i would throw it out there if your in a money crunch and you absolutely needed them

69z-28 01-28-2007 03:06 PM

if you want tires that are cheap go with sumitomos, hankooks anything like that. if you want something to hook in dry weather, go with a drag radial, everything else will spin at will, if you want a good wet and dry tire the GSd3s are good but $$$$

16' Tires

Wanted to keep my 16" Iroc rims and ran into same
problem with availabilty on 16".
Found 3.
I got the BF G-Force Sport-255-50-16 for rears.
BFG KDWs 245-50-16 for the front.

They are both rated to 186mph+.
Wanted to go KDWs all around but didn't have the
255-50-16 KDWs for the rear.
Good looking tires also.

HTH
