Need A Carb
 

Ok well today I took my car to get looked at and it is not the timing. We THINK it is the carb casue he adjusted the timing and it runs alot better than it did but them it get to about 3500 RPM it starts missing he thinks the other 2 barrels are not getting gas and it is leaning out. So I got a price to get the Quardrajet rebuilt it is $85.99. It runs fine as long as you dont get on it. He said I could drive it like this for a long time before anything happen. So should I wait a couple weeks and get my holley rebuilt and get a edelbrock intake? :confused:

man...you need to get your self a holley. quadrajets are crap.

quadrajets can be the best carb for a street strip car if rebuilt properly, too bad only about 5 people in the US can rebuild one to even run right, get a demon leave the holley garbage where it is (unless you find an old one the new ones are junk) you can get an adapter for your current intake too

Ok thanks!! but for now the plans are on hold becasue when I was washing my car today a guy came by and asked if I wanted to sell it I replied "no" then he asks if I want to buy one I asked what it was he said 1989 Iroc 350 TPI 700R4 shift kit B&M rachet shifter they say it has a chip it has 3 inch exhuast with flowmaster. But it needed some bodywork so I got the adresess and looked at it. He said he would take $600-700 dollars :eek: so my friend with the Monte told me that he would by the Iroc rims and give me the money so I could get the car and to give him the rims once I got it. So tomarrow we are going to go hear it run and drive it. I have Pics but I left the cord to download them at my dads house :banghead: So if everything goes good I will have a 350 TPI for my car and then I am going to part the rest of the car out casue it has been in a wreck in 1995 (I ran a carfax report) it has a salvage title. So it will be a parts car!! But I will be happy to get a 350 TPI I will rebuild it before I put it in my car. :) So cross you fingers :lolsign:

OK well I took my car to the carb shop to get the carb rebuilt. I am going to pick it up at 12:00 tomarrow. I am most likelly going to get that Iroc today when I get off work we are going to look at it and drive it. and the guy said he would take $600 dollars for it so my dad is going to swing a deal and I am going to part the car out and ge the motor for my car and a couple other things. :nana:
