What model mustang, Engine size etc. etc.

The 3.4 Honestly isnt the easiest engine to "Beef" up, well atleast mod a lot and still be reliable enough to drive a lot. Depending on what size engine is in the mustang would depend on how much you would end up dumping into the car or if it would even be worth doing.

I dont care how much money you dump into a 3.4, its not going to beat a heavily modded v8. The 3.4 has hardly any modifications available for it, and the ones it has give so little gain that its ridiculous.

You'll have to find another car to beat that 'stang my friend, sorry to say. If it were a 3.8, I could give you at least some hope.

also realize throwing a turbo on a stock engine will not do that engine any favors

for one thing, youre either going to need forced induction or nitrous if he is s/c.

with both of those things youre going to need supporting mods. and 97k isnt terribly high, but you may still want to keep an eye on your internals and you may run the risk of breaking somthing if it has too much wear.

To beat a supercharged 5.0?

Not much.

You have to start with the basics really. Intake, Exhaust, Headers, minor tune-up. You cant build a platform out of a car that cant breathe.

The only way to get that car to keep up with it for that kind of budget is pretty much nitrous. But nitrous without supporting mods is also not a great idea.

This guy is annoying, I understand this. Im sure almost everyone on this forum has had the same type of situation arise, to where you wish you had something to bring his ego down a few notches. But building a car takes time and money. Especially a quick and efficent one. Personally, I think you need to take a breather and decide what you really want. Not just throw parts on the fastest car you have. But thats just my 2 cents.

Well for one, anything newer than 95 didnt have a 5.0, and he said it had a crate engine.

i understand what your saying about taking a breather.. but he has been doing this for over 4 years.. since i had my camaro he had a gt mustang.. and i don't mean just going and throwing something on a stock engine.. i wanted to tear down change rods pistons cam bore maybe who knows.. i just need someone to help me pick the best one.. just someone throw something at me to help me make a decision.. because if i need to i can come into a bit of money. IF I NEED IT. thats why im trying to look at all my options.. sorry if im being a pain in the ***.. but thanks for gettin me out of workin on the 3.4 i knew i wouldn't be able to do much

and can i twin turbo a carburated engine?

if you want to beat a lot of cars with an LT1/ LS1 car for under 2 grand, make sure the car is good all around, fix any issues with it, then spend 400 bucks on drag radials, and put on a 100-175 shot of nitrous for about a thousand bucks. you are now running mid to low 12's with a completely stock vehicle
