Needle bearings in oil pan.....

Chad, did you ever get that problem with your LS1 worked out?

Cause I had my oil changed today (along with a new fuel filter), and there were about 10 needle bearings on the oil plug magnet when they pulled it out. A buddy of mine thinks that one of my rocker arms is damaged.....we're gonna take off the coil packs & valve covers tomorrow and check them out.

Supposedly this is a common problem......anyone else have to replace a stock rocker arm?

Yeah I got mine fixed, it was just a misfire.

aren't roller rockers needle bearings? The big thing though is if the bearing came apart that cylinder would be dead, and youd have a ses light from teh missfire

if maybe theyre full roller they might have a needle bearing in em...but do ls1s have that?

Turns out I had a busted rocker arm.....a buddy of mine helped me fix it, and he also discovered I had a rather large vacuum leak. Some electrical tape made for a temp fix, then I got some flex hose from Autozone to replace it.

Got those 2 things taken care of, but now I have an unholy rattling from the exhaust....plus a noise that sounds like a bad exhaust leak. D@mmit, its always something.
