New exhaust which one

I dont know what im gonna do yet as far as exhaust... I have the v6 and im making it look like a ricer.. i dont know if i want the flowmaster or a tuner exhaust... how would a tuner exhaust sound on a camaro?? i dont know i just think the flowmaster wont sound that great with the v6

maybe the stock exhaust is the best choice for you're car.

if you dont think the flowmaster will sound that great on a v6, i've got bad news for you....

no exhaust sounds good on a v6

except GM's:D

paarman97maro 04-17-2008 03:39 PM

Okay... tuner? Why would you ever put a 'tuner' exhaust on a camaro?

Theres plenty of brands/combos to get... Try a thread search.

flowmaster
borla
magnaflow
loudmouth
slp
rumbler

What do you mean you dont think it will sound that great? Your options are pretty limited, I dont think either of the ones you listed will sound good.

Why in gods name would you rice a camaro?

That aside, a glasspack (which is a tuner/ricer exhaust) sounds AWFUL on camaros. By the way, which v6 do you have? 3.4 or 3.8?

Zachs96 04-17-2008 05:04 PM

WHY! Why would you rice a camaro unless you want to be remembered and are looking for Negative Attention.
there is a guy in my city with a camaro that is riced out has the worst looking "tuner" exhaust, green underglow, huge decals even on the windsheld and euro tails and some rims that belong on a stupid riced out civic.
my understanding is that a 3.4 v6 is a little more forgiving than 3.8's however no matter what you do i can see you excasping the raspy sound you will get after 2500-3000rpms. check out youtube there are some video that might give you a idea on which direction to head. just dont go and buy a 30 dollar fart can for you car ahve more respect for it than that, our cars have a respectable history to them dont distroy a f-body with a fart can.
if you have it in your budget shop around borla it wont be very loud but tend to deal with the raspy noise better.
Sorry about this i guess, rant... it was just yesterday that idoit in a riced out camaro in my city tried to race me no more than a 10 second drive from the police station.it just rice gets under my skin. and give car guys a bad rep cause they are usually the ones racing on crammed highways and city streets.

I actually do like the sounds of my flowmaster cat-back. It's not too loud, and I like the tone.

Amurican_Muscle 04-17-2008 06:51 PM

myspace pictures + ricing camaro = awesome

haha, dude, get the TSP rumbler. And don't ever tell anyone your trying to rice your camaro.

I also have a flowmaster system on my 3.8. I honestly cant tell you what it probally will sound like on your car, because mine is modded so heavily I dont remember what it originally sounded like. But I definately like it now. Sounds great with the cam too at idle.
