New exhaust pics!

If you've seen longtubes and a Y pipe, then you know what most of my exhaust system looks like. The pictures are pretty prevalent of that setup, so I won't bother putting anymore pics of that up. My main focus here is my exhaust tips! I had them custom made, so I'm pretty sure there's not too many out there like 'em.

They're 18 inch long 3" diameter stainless rolled tips. I had them custom made into quad tips. I like quads the best, but the main problem I always had with them is that the length of the tips just wasn't there. It didn't look good from the side unless there were ground effects covering up the ugly steel tubing going to the tip. Anyway, enough of my blabbering, here's the pics. If you've seen tips like these before, let me know. I'm curious to hear how many people have had my idea.

Yeah, it's the old flowmaster muffler. The shop I went to only stocks magnaflow and flowmaster. He said the flowmaster will probably be a little louder so I figured I might as well keep the one that's on there instead of paying extra money just to have a newer version of what's already on the car. I'm telling you, the Flowmaster sounds amazing with long tubes in front of it. When I get a chance I'll put a clip up.

still gotta be some rasp...

paarman97maro 05-05-2007 05:55 PM

There's definitely some raspiness to it now, it sounds completely different than it did in either of the other two clips. I'm still trying to track down what's making the car run like crap. I think the knock sensor is picking up false knock and pulling mega timing from the car. It's running like it's not on all cylinders. That's alright though, I'm sending the PCM out to be programmed on Monday so it'll be fine when it comes back...I hope.

sweet

NoRiceInside 05-05-2007 08:33 PM

yeah thats the major reason peeps upgrade to an LT4 KM. headers are loud.

i know with my manifolds and a flowmaster it was raspy as hell, but with LTs i bet its not nearly as bad. gotta clip yet?
