define heating up, 200* is where it should be on a stock gauge. Do you have a/c? if so just turn it on the fans are always on when a/c is on

like i mention i put a fast toys ram air its heating up when im stuck on traffic and this hot weather is not helping out also....if im running (freeway) its fine its not really overheating or boiling over its just affect the performance when it reach close to 2oo...does anybody have the same experience with fast toys
ram air

an internal combustion engine should run at 195* for optimum performance (that's teh temp pro drag racers aim for at launch) it may be your picking up underhood air (real common with ram air kits) make sure the intake is blocked from the engine heat (manual fan switches are for when the engine is off and you need to run fans)

i followed the instruction on how to properly install the ram air (fast toys)...how do i go about preventing engine heat going to the intake..u mention this is common with ram air ....u pretty much know that heat affect engine performance....also i put in 180 thermostat (no tuning yet),,,and manual switch fan is working wonderful...i just want to know if theres more things i could do to prevent engine heat,,,,,,,,,,thanks for the input

Here's the one I had back when I had a problem with overheating.

Take a look around because you can find it cheaper but it was a good switch and the instructions that come with this one are very good.
