OEM SS hoods
Quick question, what were the stock SS hoods made of? Specifically 96-97. I figured they'd be made out of metal. The reason I'm asking is I e-mailed an f-body wrecker in Edmonton about one and all they had were fiberglass ones, so it got me thinking if the stock ones were fiberglass.

Well I know the 98 - 02's were made of SMC (sheet molded compound) some type of resin/plastic stuff, by SLP. Im guessing the older ones were too.

i think the OEM performance hoods were fiberglass. but OEM only means WS6. SS and Firehawks werent technically OEM...it was SLP.
