PCMforLess.com v.s. Madz28.com

Which is the better tuner. I need to get my PCM tuned for all of my custom parts, anyone send their PCM out to one of these? Anyone ever hear of anything good from these companies? I want to modify my PCM a lot but I want to send it to the right person. thanks all!

heard alot of good things abotu PCM for less but no personal experience.. never even heard of madz28.com

NoRiceInside 08-01-2006 02:39 AM

both do the same, and both offer email updates, which i find a plus.

i dont know from personal experience, but a good friend of mine said brian knows his ****. so pcmforless.

I have my PCM tuned by Brian from PCMforless. He definetly gets my vote. Better gas mileage and alot more power. Can't argue with that.

i had mad z28s ION do my tuning he did a great job

Jpack 08-01-2006 12:28 PM

mad Z (Ion) did mine. Love it. He has done a few in our club too. When others couldn't do it right, he did it. I also like him cause he is right down the street from me.

read about both of them, both seem like easy to work with and good results, so whatever is cheaper.

awesome. i heard you cant go wrong with either. cant wait till you get everything together, im loving your project.

Jpack 08-02-2006 02:27 PM

I submitted everything to Ion @ mad Z. He emailed it to me and I down loaded. He also sends you to a link for the free software to download it. I payed I think 50 bucks plus the cable from AKM cables, did the download works fine. If you have data logging software you can log and send files to him and he will tuned based on the file. Also, once you have the tune from him, data log and send back so he can tweek it. I don't know if PCM4less does this. I can only attest to what Ion did for me.

how much better? i guess it makes sense cuz he would lean it out for more power...

Sinister95Z 08-03-2006 02:36 PM

I went from about 230-250 miles per tank to about 260-270 per tank. Not too big of a difference, but a difference non the less. The main thing for me was that everything the car did seemed like it took half the effort it used to. Also where I live it gets like 125* outside, so the computer made to work with the 160* thermo and the fans coming on earlier is a plus.

imported_caveman 08-03-2006 05:30 PM

both do a good job from what I understand, i dont recall hearing of any complaints. I had mine tuned from Ion/MadZ28 and the car has great power. :)

JooneJune 08-04-2006 04:04 AM

i think becasue its going to save me 50 bucks i mite send it over to Ion. Thanks guys!
