PCV

So I changed mine today, and it was coated with oil.. Just curious if this is normal, or not good?

FORCE_FED_Z Nov 23, 2006 06:07 PM

Your car will self-destruct in 2 minutes...sorry

Oil is typical, in a perfect world it wouldn't have oil on it, but since you actually drive the car, oil on them is usually considered normal.

your ok :)

no worries

paarman97maro Nov 23, 2006 07:26 PM

Yeah I figured it was a little blowby, but oil was dripping from it...

IM just looking for any possible solution to my oil problem.. although I cant get it on a lift Im sure theres more wrong with it than I think. As long as it runs, I really dont care for now.

I hate hearing people say that.

Well when you live 2.5 hours away from anyplace to work on your car, you have to settle for that. Not everyone works in a shop, nor has money to put their car in one.

but small issues that are relatively cheap to fix, turn into really expensive repairs if not taken care of

Like I said... I cant work on my car. I live in a god damn apartment 2 hours away from anyone I know who has a garage. I dont carry around a toolbox with every tool I need in my car. I work on it when I can.
