performance chips
 
I am looking into performance chips but I don't know any good brands i've been looking on ebay but most of the ones on ebay sound to good to be true does anyone know of any good performance chips??

I dont know of any chips for the 3.8. Closest thing I know of is the Hypertech programmer.

most tuners or computers (if it's obd II it doesn't have a chip) will run about $200 the "chips" on ebay are scams

And even the $200 programers that claim 20hp are full of crap too-

To me they aren't worth it for the horsepower unless you have mods that will support things such as changing your shift points, firmess etc. and maybe tweaking fuel/spark, but again only if mods have been made to benefit the tune.

But to be honest- you can get a lot farther with some aftermarket guys who will reprogram your computer- I'm not sure about the V6 guys, but I know for the same price of a HPPIII tuner you can go to MADZ28 or others and get one hella tune for a lot less...
