let me give a quick rundown of what i've found out with my car.

For those who don't know, i've still yet to fix my misfire (the one that caused me to replace the cap and rotor that i posted photos of awhile back). I ran some numbers and found out i've got a fuel rail full of 305 injectors and the factory 305 computer in my car. Now, the only difference between the 305 and the 350 computers is the PROM chip (for this i'm ever greatful). So i need a chip that will run my car like it's got a 350 in it. Can anyone reccomend a direction to go with a chip?

I also need some nice big injectors. The 305 injectors are rated at 19lbs/hour and the 350's came with i think 22lbs/hr. What i was wondering is two things about the injectors.
1) Can you fit lt1/ls1 injectors in a tpi fuel rail setup?
2) are they gonna be too powerful? or will the computer (with the new chip) only use what is needed?
i have a chance to buy ls1 injectors for $75 so i was hoping to jump on this if possible.

no clue if the injectors would work, but for the chip might as well do a jet chip or something like that

well i've heard back from the guy, and the injectors fit in his tpi fuel rails. So i expect it to still work. These run (on the tpi pressure) at 24 lbs which requires a different chip than the standard 350 chip.
About how much would i be spending on a jet chip?
also, how hard would it be to find a local shop that burns chips? is this common/possible? should i run to some local shops and see about special ordering one or something?

a jetchip is the best way to go with those injectors. it will adjust the fuel curves accordingly. you can also use a fuel pressure regulator to adjust pressure going into the injectors. a little more fuel from bigger injectors will not hurt that 350. it should help it out as long as you dont run it way rich and flood the engine. 22-24lbs or so on a motor made for 22lbs should run fine.

not a v8 expert or tpi expert so ask around but from my basic mechanic knowledge it should work fine.. may want to invest in a A/f ratio gauge.

i just got my chip on saturday. i ordered it from pcmforless.com. he burned the chip for my specs: Cam, displacement, heads, injectors, etc. it cost me $150 + $6 shipping. it works a lot better (fixed my wot miss, knock sensor delete) but i have some problems with it, but hes working to fix them. im going to ship it back and have it re flashed. the problem i partly due to the extensive differences between the old and new. even with an un finished tune it runs better.

i have ford motorsports 30 lb injectors, i know they work for both tpi and lt1, but not sure about ls1. they ran me $230 from summit included all the o-rings and work great.

for that miss have you checked the knock sensor or ESC (electronic spark control) box? just suggestions. if you have access to a scanner i would use it, it will tell you if all of your sensors are working properly (found several on mine)

yeah, i haven't checked into any of that yet. but i'm fully aware that i'm running 19lbs 305 injectors on my 350 that needs 22lbs minimum. so that's where i'm starting with the issue. anything after that and a chip is going to be dealt with by a pro because i'm tired of not being able to drive my car.
