Besides price which one of these would be better for me?

Personally I wouldn't get anything that's drilled. Only the expensive ones are done right so I'd just get slotted.

Id go with R1 concepts.

I dont know if they have just slotted... Id prefer just slotted, becuase Ive heard that drilled rotors are not meant for everyday street driving (heating/cooling so quickly) and Ive heard stories of them cracking.

ive kinda heard that about drilled rotors too.. but no one ive ever heard that from actually had a set they just heard from someone else.. so who knows..

ask around.. i thikn danielle has a set and havent heard of anyone on here having any trouble with the drilled ones yet so..

I got a set from R1 concepts. Shipping was a little slow but that is because they make them when you order them. Don't and I mean DON'T get their pads. They sux!! Go with something else like Axxis, Hawk, or something like that. I got Axxis after the fact and they are a vast improvement. I have had my rotors for about 2 months now and have not had any problems with them.

I got drilled/slotted rotors from R1 concepts. I figured if they crack, Oh well they were cheap.

yeah like the rest of you guys, i have heard some reasons why drilled rotors would be bad for a street car, and a friend of mine just got some slotted ones for that reason.

but im going to get R1 concepts slotted and drilled despite the bad talk :D

well first i gotta pay off my debts, then i gotta repaint my car, then i gotta get my exhaust done, then i gotta get wheels THEN i'll do the cross drilled and slotted rotors, ceramic pads, and stainless steel braided brake lines.

FamousZ 06-02-2006 03:08 AM

That one company has dimpled and slotted.. It still has the look of drilled just stronger because they arnt actually drilled!
