SES code help
Well, I threw a code today...
I was sealing up a leak I had in my exhaust, and I thought I would just check to see if my plug wires were melted or anything... As I was looking at the ones on the distr. I noticed they seemed that they had a little too much play.. Every single one clicked down... So appearantly they were all on there, just not completely secured down. :banghead: So I figured that must have been the cause of the problem I posted a couple weeks back. But as I was driving afterward, I noticed I got a SES light... I went to get it checked at advance and this is what came up: P1133 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Insufficient Switching Bank 1 Sensor 1 . My question is, could this have been caused by the wires, or is it just a coincidence? Also, the guy at advance was a *******. I could have swore paul said before that they can clear them... This guy barely let me even see the screen, and he mumbled "air fuel" then took it out and walked away. He told me he can only show me, and cant clear them. Good thing he let me see the fricken code number so I could go home and see what the code actually read. So can any help me out on if it could have been caused by the wires, or what needs fixing/replacing... Is it a bad 02 sensor? TIA. |
Hey Paar, have you tried unhooking the Pos. cable on your battery to see if the light goes out. I'd first try that, then if it comes back on go from there.
Obviously with my lack of the whole computer knowledge, I don't have a clue. Not sure if re-programming it by unhooking the battery will help, but it's worth a try...........and it's easy and free too! :D |
Yea they could erase them sounds like you got an *******, yea and you could dissconect the battery for awhile a lot of time that knocks them out. I went up today and signed the papers i no longer work for that hell hole lol.

I went to O'Reilly's the other day and they let me take the code checker out to the parking lot myself to check the codes at no charge. And I even cleared the codes too. I say try O'Reilly's.
