spark plug problems
Ok... so one of my spark plugs... the number eight spark plug... blew out... or whatever you want to call it. The guy at the shop said that he has to move all of these parts in the engine and that it's going to take him 5 hours to do and therefore @ $85 and hour cost me about $425 to fix... does this sound right?
Not anywhere close bro. That plug is very easy to get to and he is trying to mount ya. What do you mean by blown out? The most that could go wrong is he may have to helicoil the hole if the threads were crossthreaded and that still wouldnt take much time.
if it stripped out, to fix it correctly the head has to come off, even to helicoil it it's gotta be drilled, but I have had plugs come out without any damage
he does have to helicoil it....
helicoil is a temporary fix also (it will come loose in the head too much pressure there)regaurdless the head has to come off unless you like metal shavings on the top of the piston
Sounds right book time for plugs and wires is 4.1 hrs.. soo it does... If he has to helicoil it, like arch siad its a temp fix and u risk metal shavings getting in the block.. u midas well have some performance stuff done..
Too bas you arent close to me: I could pull your heads for ya and we could get ya going no prob :( Let us know how it goes bro
yeah... thanks guys I appreciate it a lot! although... it's not bro... sis maybe.... heh just to get that straight.... Thank you for the info though. I appreciate it greatly
ne pics of this Z?
Oh ok well babe instead of bro then. Right on! I love to see females with fbods :)

Sorry to hear your troubles. It sucks unfortunetly there isn't any room to work under the hood. I dunno if I would trust a helicoil for a spark plug. Sounds a little risky and askin for more problems down the road.
