Hi. For the past few months my car hasn't been starting too well. Sometimes I have to hold the ignition for a long time before it starts. Last week, I turned the ignition to start the car and it did not even turn over. My battery is completely fine, so that is not the problem. I tapped on the starter and tried again and it started. I was told by a mechanic to clean the battery and battery cables so I did that and the car is still not seeming to start too well. So this problem is probably the starter? Any other suggestions?

sounds like the starter to me but its a fairly cheap and easy fix
