That's hard with easy installation part of the list. There are cams made to sound stock and even work especially with the stock exhaust manifolds.
Based on your cars year you could do a lid, LS6 intake, heads(hard install), sleeper cam, and some rear end gears (hard install).

i was thinkin bout a lid since they dont look to different from one another. what kind of programmer would be nice. like one that i can set on max performance but i can also set on nicer milage

Whatever you do, DONT use a chip or programmer. Nobody makes a good chip or programmer for our cars at this point. All they do is lean out the mixture, give you a few horses, and kill your motor when you start adding mods (all chips and basic programmers are based on stock motor airflow and stats, meaning when you add more horses, and air, since it leaned out your fuel mixture.... boom.).

how do different gears benefit? What happens with low or high gears?

The gear ratio of a car determines how fast you go through the gears. A steeper gear with a lower gear ratio will go through the gears faster and let you achieve your optimal powerband faster.

In other words, you accelerate faster, but on the highway, you'll be running higher RPM's than stock ratio. Keep in mind, depending on how steep the gear you decide on, the more gas you're going to use.

will he let you change exhaust and intake and throttle body.
a full exhaust and intake will not hurt your car and will see some gains.
