Stock(ish) 1997 Z28

My new 97 Z28 A4 (30th Annv.) is pretty stock, except for magnaflow exhausts, and when I shift manually from 1st to 2nd (basically full throttle) it squeals tires. Is this normal for a stockish z28? It may just be me shifting, but I'm just curious.

i have heard a 97 WS6 do that, he wasnt even trying to..

blue89vert 07-25-2006 02:26 PM

i wish i could do that.

Mike Jones 07-25-2006 03:10 PM

Yeah that's normal, a 350ci V8 can do that no problem.

Just another day with the ol' V8...:eleph:

97' Z28 show project 07-25-2006 06:04 PM

normal

If it has any type of tran shift kit no prob at all and with any mid to low level tires for sure, esp. if they are only 245's. IF you are running really good 275's and it does it completely stock, consider yourself pretty lucky..but otherwise another normal good thing for an F-body..

Thanks guys, I was just wondering because I never had that problem (not really a problem) in the v6 lol.

haha. i cant even squeel tires from a roll anymore with nittos and a crap clutch. hehe
