Strut Tower Brace

Well, im looking at getting a Strut Tower Brace... and all the places ive looked say "N/A for v6 models". Anyone know a place to get a decently priced one for a v6?

nope, ur sol....u might have to get one fabricated...I'm trying to talk my dad into letting me get a tower strut brace myself...kinda hard to persaude him...

Yeah you can buy them for the V6's. I'm still using the strut tower brace off my 3.4 Camaro.

It's a BMR unit.

I think that BMR might be the only one that makes them for a v6 that I know of.. I bought one for my v6 and it didnt fit.. Luckly I went and bought a Z28 a few weeks later and it perfect on there;)

Anyways, I got one from ebay for about $70... J&M performance or somthing.. Cant think of the name, but it works perfectly.

I should probally grab one up, how much difference did you notice Paar?

Oh btw, as soon as I get a chance i'll take some pics, but I just bagged my right rear, man, it made a HUGE difference in preventing wheel hop. I recommend it.

FORCE_FED_Z 10-16-2006 05:21 PM

Typically the strut tower braces are sold for Z28's or V6/SS models. That might not be total truth, but just about every one I have seen has been that way.

It tightens up the front end a bit... I noticed it doesnt feel like your tie rod is gonna snap when you take turns hahaha.

I need a better pic of my engine bay, thats not impressive at all :banghead: But yea, I think I might pick one of those up when I get the chance. I've gotta get a pillarpod first though for my new gauges. Already got my boost gauge, air/fuel ratio gauge, and oil press gauge for my a-pillar. Im going to go ahead and install the boost gauge and run the wiring for when I turbo it. :D

PS - If you cant tell, my whole engine bay is painted flat black with some silver accents.

I have one from J&M and I can feel the difference around corners a tad bit. I got it from someone who was demodding a car though and I dont know where he got it, if I find out I'll let ya know.

Thanks Shodown, you need to post here more. I see you around camarov6 alot, but I dont really post there much because most of them are douches.

Shodown 10-17-2006 01:20 AM

Ah come on man, all the sites have douches on them, not just cv6 :). I am on Fullthrottlev6 too. I like this site a lot, I check almost as regularly. I am not really biased to one or the other, I have just been there longer. I love talking to and meeting lots of different people so I cruise around all the boards. Its the best way to make friends and connections :D

Yes, the douchebagery level of that site is insane. There tons of STBs out there that will fit seems like ur having bad luck finding them.
