Subframes

As most of you know I bought three point bolt on subframe connectors last fall. Well I had some free time and thought I'd install them today and then in the next week I'd take the car to my brother's house and have them weld them in.

Well I installed the passanger's side and ran out of time('doh). But even with just the one side I can feel a huge difference, I can't wait to get the other one on and then get them welded.

Sounds sweet cant wait to hear how it goes, i plan on doin some suspension and handling mods once i get paint and all over with, post some pics up

I agree with everyone else who says this is the first mod you should do.

What I have planned next are Strano front and rear sway bars with bushings. I think with these mods plus my strut tower brace(if it even does anything) my car should handle really well and since I will rarely take it to the track I would rather have a car that handles like a dream over spending the money on an extra 20hp.

Exactly, you see everyone spending huge amounts of money on a little bit of extra hp. I'd rather spend my money on an assortment of looks and suspension parts because I spend most of the time on the street.

Good to hear the subframes made a difference Chad. I plan on going with the SLP bolt in models (only bolt ins I could find for a vert) and just weld them up later like your doing.

archemedes 01-31-2006 02:23 PM

subframe connectors are a necessity in an f body especially a vert.

RFF 01-31-2006 02:32 PM

The verts come with them stock but their not real strong.
