Sway Bars
 

I'm looking into getting a set of antisway bars to make my car handle better around the turns. I enjoy driving through the backroads and I don't road race it and I'll rarely take it to the drag strip so it's more of a daily driver setup. So pretty much just help me choose a set, if you have aftermarket one's installed please put in your .02 because you'll be the one's to really help out.

What do you think of the Strano Parts custom set?

I think the biggest improvement you'll see would be upgrading bushing to poly, seems sway bars are a hotly debated topic

They are a hot debate, but I think I've kinda gotten an idea of what I want I just wanted to see what everyone wanted.

I have ST 35/25 and the front bar is great but the rear bar is too big. Both of my bars are solid. I wouldn't go over a 21mm in the rear.....I want to swap out my solid 25mm rear bar for a hollow 21mm.

I put a set of 1LE on the '99. There is ZERO roll. If I try hard enough, I can push/scrub through a turn. I thought about tower struts, but this works great...

I'll agree with Arch- just pick up a set of poly bushings for now and see how much of a difference it makes. I had them in the last car and it tightened things up. I still like a little movement, its a little easier to 'feel' what the car is doin...

I would look into the G2 gear, LG makes great suspension gear. Now that I think about it I wish I would have went with the G2 STB, instead I took another route.:(

Okay, swaybars!!!

I got Sam Strano's(I forget who makes them for Sam, Suspension Technologies I think???) hollow 35mm front swaybar and HOT DANG it made a HUGE difference with handling and taking turns.:D

I drive my car HARD, especially in the turns, I push her every chance I get. I wanted a front swaybar that would be much more responsive, and the hollow 35mm front sway saves weight and is beefy enough to handle just about everything.

I have the factory SS rear swaybar, what is that a 19mm rear??? I'm pretty sure it is, I will replace that rear with Sam's hollow 22mm rear to balance the handling.

Swaybars will truly transform your car by minimizing body roll, as well as making your turning much more precise as opposed to the slight wobbles that you are probably experiencing right now...

And if you have factory shocks then THE BEST upgrade for corner-to-corner handling is hands down aftermarket shocks...Not just replacing the factory ones with similar, but with upgrading like the MINIMUM Bilstein HD's(just fine with factory springs), but they're not really made for cars with lowered springs unless the Bilstein's have been revalved to handle the stiffness of the springs as well as the shorter travel by the shocks due to the lowering of the vehicle...

Does this make sense???

You don't have to listen to me because my car needs new suspension all the way around and i haven't tested any new suspension before but i would go with eibach, i have heard their swaybars can really help.
