Tail lights

I just put a set of 97 tail lights on a 96. Am having a problem with the wiring. When the brakes are applied, the amber turn signals come on with the brake lights. Somehow the brake light switch goes through the turn signals. Anybody done this? Got a wiring schematic? Help!

if all teh lights work except the high mount, you have a wire left over, you can just run a new wire from teh highmount to the brake wire

My car has the same set-up you are talking about. Somehow it passed inspection two years in a row like that and I have driven in front of State Troopers, Sheriff's and local cops, NONE of which have ever said anything to me.

I kinda like it since they are not only a little brighter, but totally different. Looks almost like a set of eye's lookin back at you..

Arch, I know you won't like it, but I do and thats all that counts-

My point was I didn't think you would like the fact that my brake lights are amber and not orange
