Throwing a code...
i was driving my car today when i noticed the SES light came on so i went to get it scaned and i got the p1415 which is the DTC P1415 Secondary Air Injection (AIR) System Bank 1. now i know what it is but i dont know how to fix it or anything about this so could somebody help me??? thanks
i was also wondering if i were to take my car to the dealer if my intake would void the extended warrenty i put on my car?
uhh I cant help you with the first one, but make sure they dont know its aftermarket.
It shouldnt void your warranty, Its your air pump thats throwing the code, Might be the relay for it thats fukin yah over.
well i also realized when i was looking at my car after this happened that im leaking power steering fluid... or at least i think so i dont want to take my car to the dealer and they say they wont touch it or something stupid because of an intake...
thats not good
they can't legally say they won't touch the car because of an aftermarket part, unless they can prove the part caused the problem
alright thanks thats what i wanted to know!
here is some info on the law (magnuson moss act) http://www.free-lemon-law-guide.com/...rranty-act.php
the AIR system is the thing that pumps air into the manafolds before the o2's so they read correctly when the car is cold and what not, i would just have some one w/ hp tuners get it disabled for you.(emmissions crap) could also be an o2 reading wrong
You can tune the AIR system out as long as you aren't in a state that checks for those things. If you are still under warrenty why not just pick up a stock intake- should be cheap off Ebay or a forum and take the car back so you have NOTHING to worry about them trying to jerk you around.
and if emissions is deleted, and you take it to the dealer, then they can and will void all warranties, and may turn it over to the state (if they want to do it they will) then the state pulls your registration (I worked at a dealer in GA that did that to a punk kid who wanted to tell us the cam wasn't causing the rough idle after we swapped it out to check it)
