Tire size
I have 17 x 9.5 and 17 x 10.5 ZR1's, the 10.5's are on the back of course, and the only mod I have as per suspension is the eibach pro kit, would a 275/40/17 rub on the front?
|
They didn't rub on my car when I had them- came really close though.
I wouldn't think they would, possibly if you autocross it, but DD it shouldn't. |
Great!
Im getting a deal on some Sumitomo HTR+ 275/40/17's, so that'll work out great! :) |
10.5" ZR1's? I've never heard of that size in ZR1's. Just 9, 9.5, and 11".
|
Yea, they are replica ZR1's.. I had them made as 10.5
|
Just put them on today! They look great! <3 them, so much better than the skinny 245/45/17 I was running before!
|
Up north I much prefer the 245's- they don't wander on our crap roads nearly as much as the 275's did. I also like the staggered look that the car gets with the different widths as well, but I have to admit having those fat tires up front did also look mean in its own way.
|
Yea, im honestly worried about wet weather driving now. I havnt driven one with such wide tires as these before, should be interesting. But they do look mean! :)
|
Has anyone ever heard of 18" ZR1's?

yeah ive seen some on ebay. problem is they keep the same proportions for the spoke.
for example, my wheels are 16" WS6 style wheels. if you look at the 17" WS6 wheels the spokes are the same size, theyre just longer, and it makes the wheel look bigger. with 18" ZR1s the spokes grow as well, so it looks really weird to me... |
I have never heard of 18" ZR1's and saw this guy said he had them
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2340807 I really don't see a size difference and I use to have 17" GM ZR1's ...lol |
Sure enough. Those are 18's. They look odd in 18's, not bad, but I guess im just not used to seeing them like that.

Sumitomo has personally really impressed me. I've put on a shitton of tires in my day, and I get to see them all on the speed-balancer. Thats an easy way to tell how round the tire is... almost all sumitomo's are nearest to perfect I can find... it seems they're quality control is right up there with Michelin, for the money, I wouldnt recommend anything else.
