Tires
I will be buying tires by the end of this weekend and I have just one question. The treadwear, the higher the number the longer it lasts right?
So for the most part the lower the number, the shorter the tire lasts, but that just means it's stickier and better for track use. |
id get the Yokohama ES100 rated Z tires, Those are bad *** when it comes to getting traction. Best set of tires I ever owned. Or get some cheap ones and just use them for the track but traction will be bad. Nothing but slipping.

I agree on the yokahama great tires, bf goodrich also has a good tradeoff wear to life
|
So does the higher the tread number mean the longer the tires will last.

yep, look at a michelin tire they last forever, but no traction

BF Goodrich KDW's. I love them, they were a huge improvement over the Yoks that came with the car. Good thread life and excellent stopping and handling in bad weather.

MY fav. are still my toyos....

I just ordered a pair of 275/40/17 Kuhmo Ecsta ASX. I'm going to take the two tires in worste condition and replace them with these tires and stick them in the rear. I'll then order som 245/45/17's for the front wheels next month when I'm aloud to spend more money from my wife ;) I still plan on buying a pair of wheels just for drag racing so these tires won't be used for that once I get them.
|
I hope I ordered the wheels early enough in the day to get them shipped out today.
